Overview
The Department invites eligible applicants to apply for funding through the $500,000 Farmers’ Market Resiliency Grant Program. The program aims to provide the opportunity to build long-term food system resiliency through New York State’s Farmers’ Markets.
Funding will be available for projects that will help enhance current food system resiliency through farmers’ markets, including projects aimed at the development and enhancement of farmers’ market infrastructure, online infrastructure, marketing and outreach efforts, and/or delivery capabilities across the state.
This round of the grant program is structured for larger entities to provide sub-grants to farmers’ markets and/or farmers’ market vendors in their economic development region. Awardees must make sub-grants available through an open application process for farmers’ markets within the applicant’s economic development region.
See the Request for Proposals below for more details.
