The Department is pleased to announce the availability of a second round of funding for the New York Food for New York Families Competitive Grant Program.
New York Food for New York Families Program Round 2 will maintain and improve food and agricultural supply chain resiliency in New York State. This funding is provided by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Local Food Purchase Assistance Cooperative Agreement Program (LFPA.) The goal of this program is to purchase food grown and produced in New York State and deliver it to food insecure communities. Additionally, this program focuses on creating new markets and purchasing from underserved producers.
***Note: As indicated in Section 5.2 of the RFP, the state has transitioned from Grants Gateway to the Statewide Financial System (SFS) as of January 16, 2024. See the document "Addendum 1 - RFP 0325 - New York Food For New York Families Round 2" below for details.

Proposals must be received by the Department by 3:00 pm local time on February 29, 2024. Applications are required to be submitted via a paper application as New York State is currently transitioning from Grants Gateway to SFS. Applicants are still required to be prequalified in SFS after it goes live on January 16. Find out more at grantsmanagement.ny.gov/transition-SFS.
