RFP 0237 - Saturated Buffers Pilot Project

Overview

The Department and the New York State Soil and Water Conservation Committee are pleased to announce the availability of funds to support a pilot effort to evaluate the effectiveness of saturated buffers in removing nitrates from tile drainage systems functioning within agricultural fields. 

This Request for Proposals is intended to provide financial assistance for developing protocols for site selection, implementation, and monitoring of saturated buffers to assist the Department and SWCC in determining if they are effective in the removal of nitrates from agricultural tile drainage outlets.

Proposals for funding must conform to the format provided through the Grants Gateway. Proposals were required to be submitted online through the Grants Gateway by 4:00 p.m. local time on October 25, 2021 to be considered for funding.
