Featured Program Spotlight

New York Native Plant Priority List

In 2025, the New York State Legislature passed Senate Bill 794, launching the New York Native Plant Seed Supply, Development and Enhancement Program to increase the amount and diversity of native plants in the supply chain. The development of the New York Native Plant Priority List is central to the program, helping to educate land managers, landscape architects and designers, the gardening public, and the nursery industry about the benefits of native plants and the role they will play in future climate resiliency.
