Syracuse University Football Game at Liberty University to Be Shown on Big Screen at the Great New York State Fair

Syracuse University’s season-opening football game against Liberty University will be shown free of charge on the 55-foot big screen in the Exposition Center at 6 p.m. Saturday. The game will not be shown on broadcast or cable TV. Saturday, August 31 is Orange Day at the Fair and fairgoers are encouraged to wear SU apparel as a show of support.

“We wish the Orange well as they kick off another season and are happy to offer this option for folks who want to enjoy the Fair and also want to see the game,” said Fair Director Troy Waffner.

Fans can sit in the bleachers at the Expo Center or on the turf field to enjoy the game. Vending from the building’s vendor, Peppino’s Restaurant, is available. The I LOVE NY interactive tourism exhibit is also available in the Expo Center, offering fairgoers a chance to experience the four seasons of excellent tourism available in New York State.

Fair attendance is up more than 40% since the beginning of more than $120 million in investments, with 1.27 million people attending the Fair in 2018. The 2019 Fair runs from August 21 to September 2. Information about the Fair can be found here.
