The Great New York State Fair is celebrating its new Comic Con Day with a super deal: Buy a Spider-Man comic with a special State Fair cover for $10 and get Fair admission for free. The cover of the Spider-Man comic shows the web-slinging superhero swinging over the heads of fairgoers outside the new Exposition Center. It was created by Marvel Comics especially for the recent Salt City Comic Con and the new Comic Con Day at the Fair. The comic can be purchased at the Fair’s online sales site, here.
“This comic is a collector’s edition -- there’ll never be another one like it -- and we want to get it into as many hands as possible. Adding a ticket to the Fair makes this an irresistible deal,” said Troy Waffner, Fair Director.
Buyers will pay an additional 34 cents per comic to cover fees. Buyers will receive by email or text a link to two print-at-home vouchers: One for admission to the Fair and the other to receive the comic book. The admission vouchers are good at any gate any day of the Fair for free admission. The voucher for the comic book must be taken to the Guest Relations Center at the Main Gate to receive the comic book. Vouchers cannot be refunded, exchanged or adjusted and are good only for the 2019 Fair.
Each voucher contains a special money-saving bonus: A coupon good for a free soda with the purchase of a specialty product at the two Gianelli sausage stands or the Dinosaur Bar-B-Que stand at Chevy Court.
Comic Con Day at the Fair, Wednesday, August 28, will feature $1 admission for fairgoers who arrive in costumes, training in the use of laser swords, appearances by the Batmobile and the Mystery Machine from the Scooby Doo mystery cartoons, an evening of classic movies and more.
