Reminder: Tickets for Carrie Underwood at the State Fair Grandstand Go On Sale Saturday Morning

Fans of country music superstar Carrie Underwood are reminded that tickets to her August 27 concert at the Great New York State Fair Grandstand go on sale Saturday morning, according to Acting State Fair Director Troy Waffner.  Tickets, priced at $70, $60, and $50 go on sale at 9:00 a.m. at the New York State Fair box office and through the Fair’s only official online ticket agent, etix.com, or by calling etix toll-free at 1-800-514-3849.  Showtime on August 27 is 7:30 p.m.

Parking for box office sales is available in the Brown lot beginning at 5:30 a.m., and lineup can begin at 6 a.m. Tickets for people who require wheelchair accessible seating or who have mobility disabilities, or those who are hearing impaired will go on sale at the same time as general seating tickets. Convenient parking for people with disabilities who have either the proper license plate or hanging tag will be available via Gate 2.

Etix.com is the Fair’s official and only online ticket selling agent.  Ticket prices are the same whether tickets are bought online at etix.com, on the phone at 1-800-514-3849, option 1, or in person at the box office.  A $3.75 service fee will be added to the price of all tickets.  An additional fee will be charged for the use of a credit card.  Most major credit cards are accepted.  Your advance-sale concert ticket includes admission to the Fair.

Since winning American Idol in 2005, Carrie Underwood has sold more than 15 million albums worldwide, placed 18 singles at #1, nine of which she co-wrote, within four albums. She’s won a vast array of awards including six GRAMMYs®, and three female vocalist awards from both the Country Music Association (CMA) and the Academy of Country Music (ACM). In 2010, when Carrie garnered her second win as ACM Entertainer of the Year, she became the first female artist to win the award twice. In addition, Carrie has won seven American Music Awards, six People’s Choice Awards, nine CMT Music Awards, 12 American Country Awards, nine BMI Songwriter Awards, and is a proud member of the Grand Ole Opry.

An opening act for Carrie Underwood will be announced at a later date.

Very limited tickets remain available for the Saturday, Aug. 30 concert by Jason Aldean with Florida Georgia Line and Tyler Farr, and seats remain available for the Thursday, Aug. 21 show by Brad Paisley with Randy Houser, Charlie Worsham, and Leah Turner, for the Tuesday, Aug. 26 concert by Train with The Wallflowers, and for the Thursday, Aug. 28 concert by Journey with Cheap Trick go on sale Saturday, April 26 at 9:00 a.m.

The New York State Fair, operated by the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets, runs from August 21 – September 1, 2014.  The Fair’s mission, reflected in its 2014 theme, “Summer’s Best in Show,” is to showcase the best of New York agriculture while providing top-quality entertainment.
