WHAT:
NYS Agriculture Commissioner Richard A. Ball will visit Olana State Historic Site to continue the State’s celebration of the Taste NY program’s 10th anniversary, spotlighting local farmers and food and beverage producers whose products are available at the Olana Museum Store, presented by The Olana Partnership. State Senator Michelle Hinchey, along with partners from the State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation, The Olana Partnership, and the New York State Bridge Authority will join Commissioner Ball to celebrate local food, beverages, and art in the region.
The event will take place in conjunction with the annual Skywalk Arts Festival, presented by Historic Bridges of the Hudson Valley in partnership with the New York State Bridge Authority. Taste NY will have a booth promoting New York producers at the annual festival, celebrating centuries of art and scenery at the Hudson River Skywalk, which connects the Olana State Historic Site with the Thomas Cole National Historic Site via the Rip Van Winkle Bridge.
The celebration at Olana marks the next in a series of events that are taking place across the state in 2023 to recognize Taste NY’s 10-year milestone and the program’s success. Taste NY is New York’s flagship ‘eat local, drink local’ program, highlighting the quality and diversity of food and beverages grown and made in New York.

*The speaking program will begin at 12:00 pm. Following the program, producers who sell their products at Olana State Historic Site’s Museum Store will be sampling the many delicious local food and beverages available for sale at the store. They include:
