Joy Gourmet Foods Inc. of Maspeth, NY is recalling its 20 oz. and 28 oz. packages of Gujarati Mix because they contain undeclared peanuts and cashews. People who have allergies to peanuts or cashews run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product.

The recall was initiated after routine sampling by New York State Department of Agriculture & Markets Food Inspectors and subsequent analysis by NYS Food Laboratory personnel which revealed that the peanuts and cashews containing product was distributed in packages that did not declare their presence.
