CONSUMER ALERT: Undeclared Milk and Sesame in Rosemarie Bakery "Breads and Rolls"

New York State Agriculture Commissioner Richard A. Ball today alerted consumers to the presence of undeclared milk and sesame allergens in bread and rolls made by Yucca Tree Corp, d/b/a Rosemarie Bakery, located at 96 Vreeland Street, Staten Island, New York 10302. People who have severe sensitivity to milk and sesame may run the risk of serious or life-threatening reactions if they consume this product. To date, no illnesses have been reported to this Department in connection with this product.

The recalled Rosemarie Bakery breads and rolls are packaged in assorted sized plastic bags or paper sleeves and do not contain any batch coding. The product may have been distributed in New York State and New Jersey.

An investigation by New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets’ food inspectors revealed the labeling violations and observations revealed the sesame allergen cross-contact.

Consumers who are sensitive to milk and sesame and have purchased Rosemarie Bakery breads and rolls should not consume these products. Consumers with questions about the products may contact Yucca Tree Corp at (917) 658-2104.
