New York State Agriculture Commissioner Richard A. Ball today alerted consumers to undeclared milk in Kashk Round sour candy distributed by Nazo Products at 65 Brook Ave, Unit #16 in Deer Park, NY 11729. People who have a severe sensitivity to milk may run the risk of serious or life-threatening reactions if they consume this product. No illnesses have been reported to date to the Department in connection with this product.
The recalled Kashk Nazo Round Sour Candy product is packaged in 14-ounce clear plastic bags. It is sold by Nazo, 4 Racine Road, Unit#5, Toronto, ON, Canada M9W 5W7, Tel. # 647-340-6296.
Routine sampling by New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets’ food inspectors and subsequent analysis of the product by the New York State Food Laboratory revealed the product contained milk allergens, which were not declared on the product label.
