CONSUMER ALERT: "Ring Danish" from Kabir's Bakery is Recalled due to Undeclared Walnuts

New York State Agriculture Commissioner Richard A. Ball today alerted consumers that “Ring Danish,” manufactured by Kabir’s Bakery located at 19 5^th Ave, Brooklyn, NY, is recalled due to undeclared walnuts. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to walnut run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product.  To date, no illnesses have been reported to the Department associated with this product.

The “Ring Danish” subject to this recall is 3.5 ounces and wrapped in plastic with UPC code 5096100601.  A photo of the product is included in this consumer alert.

The misbranding was discovered on an inspection by New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets’ food inspectors.
