Aunt Butchie’s Cakes Inc. of Brooklyn, NY is recalling its 3.5 ounce packages of Snickers Cup, Chocolate Mousse Cup and Tiramisu Cup food treats because they contain undeclared peanuts, milk and eggs. The products are unlabeled. People who have allergies to peanuts, milk and eggs run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products.
The recalled Snickers Cup, Chocolate Mousse Cup and Tiramisu Cup were distributed in the New York City area in retail stores. The product comes in a 3.5 ounce clear plastic unlabeled package.
No illness or allergic reactions involving this product have been reported to date.
The recall was initiated after a New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets Food Inspectors found the product in a retail store that did not reveal the presence of peanuts, milk and eggs on a label.
Consumers who have purchased 3.5 ounce packages of Snickers Cup, Chocolate Mousse Cup and Tiramisu Cup are urged to return them to the place of purchase for a full refund. Consumers with questions may contact the company at 718-256-2933.
