Overview
The Department inspects and tests weighing and measuring devices and systems used commercially within the state to determine whether commodities sold on the basis of the weight, measure or count are correctly computed and ensure consumers are charged the appropriate fee. One such device is the Electric Vehicle (“EV”) charging station. By performing regular inspections of EV charging stations and assessing civil penalties where violations are discovered, the Department protects consumer confidence in the trustworthiness of such devices and ensures that merchants are operating on a level playing field.
This Invitation for Bids is issued by the Department to invite qualified bidders to submit proposals to provide two EV Charging Station Test Systems for the purpose of testing the accuracy of all commercial EV charging stations available for public use throughout the State of New York.
