Overview
The Department offers various funding opportunities to ensure the growth of New York’s agricultural communities. These opportunities touch many parts of the diverse agricultural sector: connecting farmers with new markets; supporting marketing efforts for producers and retailers; getting local, healthy foods into schools; improving infrastructure on fairgrounds and in companion animal shelters statewide; ensuring climate resilient farming practices; and more.
Statewide Financial System
State agency grant funding opportunities are posted in the Statewide Financial System (SFS). SFS provides a one-stop shop to access all available state agency grant funding. All grant funding opportunities will require applicants to register as a vendor in SFS in order to apply. In addition, all not-for-profit organizations must be prequalified in order to do business with New York State. Visit the site to register and prequalify.
Supplier Diversity
New York State Executive Law aims to enhance opportunities for minority and women owned businesses and service-disabled veteran owned businesses in New York State contracting.
