The Farm Laborers Fair Labor Practices Act establishes new rules for farm laborers and takes effect on January 1, 2020. The new law establishes a 60 hour work week, mandates 24 consecutive hours of rest each week, ensures disability and Paid Family Leave coverage, unemployment benefits, and the right to collective bargaining, and other labor protections.
