Operating Cooperatives
An operating cooperative is an incorporated group of producers that negotiates for the sale of its members’ milk, and which is also responsible for the operation of farm bulk tank routes to bring its member’s milk from farm to plant or plant to plant. An operating cooperative may also process or manufacture its members’ milk by operating a processing or manufacturing facility or transfer station.

This form is required for all entities that process milk, dairy products, or frozen desserts, or that offer milk for sale as raw.

If your cooperative operates a plant, please fill out a Processing Plant Superintendent Certificate.
If your cooperative is purchasing milk directly from producers, please fill out a DPO Assessment Report.
Cooperative Financial Disclosure Law
The Cooperative Financial Disclosure Law requires each dairy cooperative to furnish its members and prospective members with all pertinent financial and corporate information about the organization in a timely manner. Dairy farmer members of cooperatives are thus assured of timely and complete information on the finances and operating policies of their marketing organizations. Contact us to learn more.
