What You Need to Know

The state disaster emergency issued in response to COVID-19 ended June 25, 2021.

Industry partners should refer to New York Forward for the most up-to-date guidance. Industry specific guidance developed by the Department in response to the pandemic is no longer mandatory and is archived below. These archived documents are made available as a public reference and resource only. 

As a reminder, businesses may continue to adhere to the State's archived guidance to the extent it does not conflict with new or existing guidance. Businesses are also authorized to require masks and six feet of social distancing for employees and patrons within their establishments, regardless of vaccination status.  

Any mask requirements that businesses choose to implement must adhere to applicable federal and state laws and regulations, such as the Americans with Disabilities Act.
